PRICE REDUCTION: Tonica violin strings - in all sizes
& Dominant violin strings - all sizes
We are pleased to be reducing the price of Tonica violin strings.
Tonica strings, by Pirastro string makers, were made as an answer to Dominant Strings (by Thomastic string makers). Tonica strings come in all sizes.
At $68/69.70 per set, they are now one of our more affordable violin string options.
We have also been able to reduce the price of Dominant strings by $3 - $5 per string.
As always we do recommend a Westmister E with a dominant A, D and G set.

Vision Solo violin string - price reduction & Thomastik discontinues Vision Solo for 1/2 and 3/4 sized strings
Today we have reduced the price of Vision Solo, 4/4 violin strings by around $3 per string
Thomastik Infeld Vienna string makers are no longer producing Vision Solo 3/4 and 1/2 sized strings. We will unfortunately no longer be able to supply theses in store but do have some stock remaining for those who would like to use them for the following couple of years.
Vision Solo full sized strings are still available as before.

Changes to Vision String Prices
Thomastic (string makers) recently made some alterations to their violin string prices. At Antonio Strings we have followed suit.
While 1/16~1/2 sized strings have gone up slightly in price, 3/4 strings have come down.
Peter Infeld (also by Thomastic) have come down by around $5 per string, which is fantastic news. These are excellent strings.

New trade-in and buy back rates
Due to increasing costs we have made the decision to change our trade-in rate to 65%. We believe this to be an excellent rate still.
We have changed our buy back rate also, to 50%.
We are grateful to our customers for their understanding that to remain sustainable as a business, it is necessary for us to make this change.
All previously purchased instruments can be traded-in or bought back at our previous rate of 75% and 60% respectively.
Our new rates apply to all sales from July 1st, 2014 onward.
Price reduction - Duplex cases and Vision strings
Due to the weak Japanese yen, we have been able to reduce the price of Duplex Ultralight violin cases by $100.
Previously $460, these popular cases are currently being sold for $360.
We have also reduced the price of the Vision violin strings by around 10%.
